| Winckley Square Willow Sculpture |
|
As part of the Celebration of Trees day held last Halloween, a magnificent Willow Sculpture was created of a lady in Victorian costume complete with parasol. The Sculpture was created by Cheshire artist Sahah Gallagher and was donated by the "Friends of Winckley Square". Sadly, the sculpture was vandalised and taken home by a local resident for safe keeping. The sculpture was returned to the Square (although minus the parasol) and hopefully the willow will send out shoots and the lady will begin to grow to become a local landmark in the Square. |
