Hospice: Project starts

Hospital staff, architects and builders met at St Catherine's Hospice, in Lostock Hall Lane, Lostock Hall, to cut the first sod of a new building which will form part of a £3million regeneration scheme.

The hospice is also planning to develop a cafe in the facility's orangery which it hopes to open to the local community, and create new single rooms and family rooms, to allow couples who have been together for a long period of time to remain together.
