Number 9 Winckley Square. The house was built by Mr Joseph Seaton Aspden, Keeper of the Seal for the County of Lancashire Number 9 Winckley Square. Number 10 Winckley Square. On the site of the Winckley Club, opened in 1846 Number 10 Winckley Square. Now in multi-tenancy, is on the site of The Winckley Club, a Gentlemen's Club on the eastern side of Winckley Square, opened in 1846. At the corner of and extending into Cross Street, The Literary and Philosophical Institution originally occupied it. Next to this was the Free Grammar School for Protestant Boys.
